TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE
Cast:
Clink Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake -Wikipedia- Plot: An aging Atlanta Braves baseball scout named Gus Lobel (Eastwood) is given one last assignment to prove his worth to the organization, who sees him as unable to adapt to changes in the business. His boss and friend Pete (Goodman), who does not want to see him let go, asks Gus's daughter Mickey (Adams) to join him on the trip to make sure he's okay, against Gus's wishes. Together they scout a top new prospect in North Carolina, where Mickey begins to take an active role in her father's work to make up for his failing vision, which he has hidden from his bosses. Along the way Gus reconnects with Johnny (Timberlake), a rival team's scout who has a friendly history with Gus, as Gus was the man who scouted him when he was a baseball player, and who also takes an interest in Mickey. I watched the movie preview screening yesterday FREE thanks to Mooviespy! Remember to like Mooviespy Facebook & join more upcoming contests to win FREE MOVIE TICKETS! ^.^
After watching the movie, I feel that it is a great movie to be recommended to watch.
Be it sport-fan or non sport-fan, you would enjoy watching it. :)
The casts add sharp humour and it makes the movie genuine & funny.
Eastwood acted as a hard-hitting, stubborn & cantankerous father convincingly and I can just use "stubborn old man" to simply describe him.
And the love between Gus & Mickey is hidden yet felt throughout the movie, which makes the movie touching & powerful.
Also, the movie shows of people having that great passion towards baseball. Even if there's obstacles, he/she never give up.
The passion towards the thing that you like, the perserverance, the love is a learning point for every of us to take in.
So, remember to catch the movie coming up on 25 OCTOBER ! You would NOT regret it. :) And I guess many people are trying to find these songs in the movie: "HOME" - Philip Philips "DISTANCE" - Christina Perri feat Jason Mraz
